- By signing below,I/we agree to transfer ownership of animals to Kansas City Pet Project, including decision making power for medical and behavioral needs of the animal. I/we agree to adhere to feline friendly transfer practices as discussed prior to transfer with Kansas City Pet Project representatives and agree to continue developing feline friendly practices for the safety and welfare of all cats. Rescue representatives acknowledge that behavioral observations given prior to transfer are accurate and animals have been assessed based on observable behaviors within the organization’s environment and that concerns about adaptability or adoptability were disclosed prior to transferring the animal. Rescue representative understands that animals are unpredictable, and that Kansas City Pet Project will alert the transferring representatives if the behavior of animals transferred from their facility indicate that the animal has had a decline in welfare that creates concerns about the animal’s quality of life. Kansas City Pet Project is not required to transfer an animal back to the original organization if it is not in the best interest of the animal. By signing below, Transferor transfers all right, title, ownership, and interest in the below mentioned animal to KCPP. KCPP assumes legal ownership of every animal transferred upon arrival of the transport from Transferor and until the legal adoption of the animal(s) to a new owner or other disposition including but not limited to transfer to another licensed organization or euthanasia. Transferor agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless KCPP and any of its Boards, Officers, Agents, Employees, Assigns, and Successors in Interest from and against all suits and causes of action, claims, losses, demands and expenses, including, but not limited to, attorney's fees and cost of litigation, damage or liability of any nature whatsoever, for death or injury to any person, or damage or destruction of any property of either party hereto or of third parties, arising in any manner by reason of the negligent acts, errors, omissions or willful misconduct incident to KCPP’s performance under this Agreement. I have fully read and understand these conditions and agree to the conditions on behalf of the organization. The information contained in this application is true and correct.
