Description of Festival Volunteer Duty Options

• Greeter: With a bright smile and warm hello welcome families who arrive at the festival
• Set Up/Decorate: Assist with setting up and decorating the venue for the festival.
  Abiding by arrival times communicated with the volunteers via email for the scheduled event date, time and location. (Volunteers are required to check their email regularly for updates and communication regarding the event)
• Clean Up/Break Down: Assist with cleaning up and breaking down for the festival. Need to be able to stay after the festival ends. Volunteers are expected to be flexible if this time runs over until all clean up and break down is complete (times are communicated via email to volunteers)
• JBY Creativity Tables: Guide and help kids with fun arts and crafts (supplies are provided). Volunteers are NOT allowed to bring their own arts and crafts supplies or ANY literature or materials of any kind
• JBY Festival Special Activities: Help with specific activities as part of the event.
  • Require Experience: Face Painting, Photography, Videography, Food Service (must abide by food safety requirements)
  • Require Experience: Sensory-Friendly arts and crafts table (must have proven experience working with children that have special needs or disabilities)
  • No Experience Required: Help out during one or all of the following: Decorating the venue, co-hosting: JBY Talent Show, Fashion Show, Dance Party, Game Show, JBY Fest' Awards Ceremony, Festival Closing (duties such as, helping with any props, escorting kids on and off the stage, handing out prizes/awards) for any co-hosting volunteers must abide by the guidelines provided for the co-hosting script and are NOT allowed to go off script with any doctrine deemed political, personal, religious, or any such thing as deemed inappropriate by the event organizers.

Volunteer Code of Conduct and Expectations

Being a volunteer means you agree to and will abide by the below code of conduct and expectations.

• The JBY Children's Fest' is a children and teen based event. All volunteers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectable appropriate manner at all times. This includes the attire worn at the event as a volunteer. Volunteers must wear clothing that is free of offensive language or graphics.
• The JBY Children's Fest' is a smoke-free, drug-free, alcohol free, gun free, weapons free, vaping free, foul language free, solicitation free, drama free event.
• The JBY Children's Fest' is a warm and welcoming event for all children and families. As such, any volunteer must not promote any religious or political beliefts at the festival directly or indirectly towards the attendees.

Imdemnity and Liability Waiver

I understand and agree that in participating in the Just Be You Children’s Festival™; as well as,
any rehearsals, or activities, there is a possibility of physical injury or death. As well as the exposure to
COVID-19 (COVID). An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people
are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. I voluntarily agree, therefore, to assume all risks and responsibility for any such injury, accident, or exposure, which might occur to me or my staff/associates/affiliates. I also exempt, release, and indemnify, JUST BE YOU PERFORMING ARTS – JBY ACADEMY AND PERFORMING ARTS CONSERVATORY  – AND - J. MAHOGANY
REYNOLDS-CLARKE, its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest talents, faculty members, and/or students from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action whatsoever from any damage, loss, injury, or death to me, or my staff/associates/affiliates, or property which may arise out of or in connection with participation in any participations, rehearsals, or activities associated with the event. I further hereby voluntarily agree to waive my rights and that of my heirs and assigns to hold JUST BE YOU PERFORMING ARTS – JBY ACADEMY AND PERFORMING ARTS CONSERVATORY - AND - J. MAHOGANY REYNOLDS-CLARKE its owners, agents, volunteers, assistants, employees, guest talents, faculty members, and/or students liable for such damage, loss, injury, or death. I understand that I should be aware of my physical limitations and agree not to exceed them. I understand that it is my personal obligation to protect myself and manage my own health. I also agree that if I am experiencing any signs of illness and/or have been tested positive for COVID-19 (COVID) and/or have recently recovered form an illness or exposure to COVID-19 (COVID) that I will not attend the event. I certify that I am an authorized representative therein and have the right to waive these rights on my own behalf.

Media Release

The Director/Producer shall have the right to use the Volunteer’s name, pre-approved likeness, and biographical material with respect to the Volunteer’s Participation and the promotion of the Event provided that nothing in this paragraph shall entitle the Director/Producer to use the Volunteer’s name or likeness to endorse any product or service other than with respect to the Event. Volunteer understands and agrees; that photos, and/or videos may be taken of them and their participation; during the Event. Volunteer authorizes Just Be You Children's Festival, JBY Academy & Perfoming Arts Conservatory, Just Be You Performing Arts, the ability to use any photos or videos taken of the volunteer and their participation and the publicity photo shoot; in brochures, photo displays, or in other electronic or printed materials, and on social media, without further authorization or compensation, for the intent and purpose of marketing and promoting the event.
