The Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be providing a limited number of scholarships of $500 USD each to attend the 2024 International WSS Foundation Family Conference in-person. These scholarships are available via the Nicholas Lagravinese Memorial Fund- funds donated in memory of Nicholas Lagravinese.

Eligibility Criteria:

You have been diagnosed with Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome (WSS) or are the parent/caregiver of someone diagnosed with the Wiedemann-Steiner Syndrome.

You have not previously attended an International WSS Foundation Family Conference in person.

You are attending the 2024 WSS Foundation Family Conference in-person (virtual attendees are not eligible for this scholarship).

You have enrolled in RARE-X and are up-to-date on filling out and submitting surveys you/your family is eligible to fill out.

Application deadline is September 15, 2024.

A selection committee will review applications received and award a limited number of $500 USD each. The number of scholarships awarded and scholarship award determination is of the sole discretion of the selection committee.

Scholarships awarded will be credited from the awardee’s hotel room charges (including parking but excluding other incidentals) if the awardee attends the 2024 WSS Foundation Conference. If such hotel room charges do not amount to $500 USD, scholarship amount will be limited to the amount of such hotel bill. If the awardee does not show up to the 2024 Conference, the scholarship amount will not be credited from awardee’s hotel room charges.

The selection committee will notify applicants of their decision by October 1st, 2024.
