TERMS & CONDITIONS OF WORKING DOG SALE
1. By nominating a dog in the sale, I/we agree to be bound by any Rules, Regulations and Codes of Conduct as determined by the selling Agent, Ray White Livestock Rockhampton. The Agent reserves the right to change any of these conditions should they see fit.
2. Ray White Livestock Rockhampton does not accept any liability for any accident, damage, injury to dogs, handlers, beasts, ground, spectators, or any other person or property whatsoever.
3. Dogs of any breed, aged 16 weeks & over, showing ability to work livestock, will be eligible for entry in the sale, the agent however has the right to reject or accept dogs on assessment of their working ability.
4. Nominated dogs cannot be sold prior to the sale.
5. Normal auction terms and conditions will apply. Dogs will be sold in Lot order.
6. The Vendor agrees to the use of their contact number in the catalogue and display online, or social media in conjunction with the promotion of their dog for the purpose of contact by potential buyers.
7. All entries MUST be accompanied by a digital photo of the entered dog and a YouTube Video link of the dog working stock for assessment and advertising purposes. When provided as a YouTube video link there will be no time restrictions on the video length.
8. Entries must be completed by owners wishing to enter dogs in the Ray White Livestock Working Dog Sale, not the handler.
9. It’s a requirement that all sale dogs are vaccinated, C5 with vet certificate as evidence.
10. Bitches on heat - handlers are to empty Bitches out well away from handlers waiting area to be fair to all vendors.
11. Commission on the sale price (6% of sale price + GST) will be payable by the vendor to the Agent in respect to each lot catalogued and sold. This commission is payable whether sold at Auction or private treaty up to 1 week post auction.
12. Any person involved with handling dogs on the day of the sale, within the perimeter of the grounds does so at their own risk. The responsibility of the well-being, control and restraint of dogs and their actions rests with the owner.
13. Collars are to be sold with the dog, if not the price of a collar ( will be deducted from the proceeds of your dogs Sale.
14. Sale Entry Fee, $180 dogs Over 10 months and $180 per pup 16 weeks to 10 months, these fees are inclusive of GST, and include advertising and cataloguing. There will be NO REFUND of entry fee unless accompanied by a vet certificate. Dogs may however be substituted until two weeks prior to the sale (if this is the case there is no guarantee whether the newly nominated dog will appear in any print media).
15. Handlers are required to work their dog on foot, and each dog in the sale demonstration must be worked on stock.
16. Prior to the sale, there will be Pre Works, during which time vendors will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their dog’s ability working cattle (Dogs Over 10 months) or sheep (Only pups 16 weeks to 10 months) in the arena for a period of 3 minutes (approx.).
17. Agent reserves the right to limit numbers if required for successful operation of the sale.
18. Past vendors may enter up to 4 dogs into the sale & new vendors up to 2 dogs into the sale.
