El Sistema Lehigh Valley is a music-based tutoring and mentoring program. In this program, children develop a sense of belonging inside a safe, musical community that empowers them to learn in ensembles, engage in peer mentorship and instruction, and celebrate shared success with their parents, teachers, and community through frequent performances.
Please understand that these rules must be followed:
1. Respect - Your child must be respectful of everyone involved in the program (instructors, other students, school staff) and must follow behavior expectations. Repeated poor behavior or other serious offenses can be grounds for withdrawal from the program as per the El Sistema Lehigh Valley Family Handbook.
2. Attendance - Consistent attendance is a crucial part in getting the most benefits for your child from El Sistema. If your child does not maintain over a 80% daily attendance he/she will be withdrawn from the program.
3. Punctuality - You must be on time to pick up/drop off your child. If you are going to be late, you must contact and speak with Amanda Haag or Margaret Medina.
