Southern Hills Fall 2024 Green Ball/Yellow Ball Middle School League

Who may participate? Any public or private school, upper Elemenatry and Middle School Students. There are 2 divisions, Yellow Ball and Green Ball (see descriptions below).

Who runs the league? Eric Zimmer, Southern Hills Youth Tennis Coach/Coordinator. Teachers and/or Parents from each school will be the sponsors. Players are encouraged to schedule private lessons and team clinics (one team clinic included with registration).

Program cost: $70

Team Tennis League & Program Schedule 2024

August 19 - September 20: League Registration period.

Saturday, September 14th: Season Kickoff Tournament*

Sep 24th: Yellow Ball matches begin

Sep 25th: Green Ball matches begin

Week of October 7th: Caddo Fall Break, NO MATCHES.

Saturday November 16th: End of Season Tournament*

The season is 6 weeks. [7th week (November 12 & 13) for rain out if needed.]

*Tournaments are additional $30 each and includes lunch for players and medals for End of Season Tournament winners.

TUESDAYS—Yellow Ball (starting Sep 24)

Yellow Ball is a higher level than Green Ball. It is for Upper Intermediate/Skilled Players.

WEDNESDAYS—Grenn Ball (starting Sep 25)

Green Ball — Lower Intermediate Players. (Should have some tennis experience and understand rules, game play rules, and scoring.) Your sponsor will have available RULES OF PLAY and BASIC RULES OF TENNIS for guidelines to review with your child to ensure understanding.

Green Ball - Middle School Grades 5-8 – Players who have played some matches and know the Basic Rules and Scoring. Waiver of Responsibility & Media Release I understand the normal risks from playing tennis and hereby release the hosting facility, the professionals and any person involved from any responsibility for any damages, losses or injuries sustained in conjunction with this program for my child. 1.I hereby waive, release and forever discharge USTA, LTA, NWLA-CTA, and the participating facilities, Querbes Tennis Center and Southern Hills Tennis Center, their officials, instructors, employees, agents and support personnel from any loss, cost, or expense, claims or demands of any and every kind which I may now have, may acquire while participating in the "junior tennis" tennis program, or may hereafter have for any and all damages, losses, injuries, cost or expense which may be suffered or sustained by me in connection with participation in the “junior tennis” program AND/OR EXPOSURE TO INFECTIOUS SYNDROMES OR DISEASES TO THE PERSON OR PROPERTY OR RESULTING IN ILLNESS AND/OR DEATH OF THE UNDERSIGNED ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE EVENT(S), WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. I acknowledge and agree that I shall not be entitled to receive any compensation whatsoever n connection with the Releasees’ exercise of its Use and Materials rights.
