APPLICATION COMMITMENT
I understand the purposes and requirements of the Youth Leadership Shelby County program. If I am selected, I will devote my time and resources to successfully complete the program. I understand I am allowed only one excused (notified ahead of time) absence from the class days. If I miss more than one session I will not be eligible for graduation. In signing this application, I understand these commitments and agree to honor them to the best of my ability.
The following document(s) must be completed and emailed to kwilliams@shelbyal.com by the deadline (Monday, September 21, 2026 by 6:00pm) for this application to be complete. Documents include signed cover sheet, 1 letter of recommendation from a school employee, 1 letter of recommendation from someone outside of school (coach, church, employer, etc.) Documents may NOT be submitted as a photo. No photos of the application will be accepted.

Obtain at least 2 letters of recommendation (1 from school-related reference; 1 from outside-of-school reference) (email to kwilliams@shelbyal.com)
