RiverFest Guided Walks Registration

Celebrate BC & World River Days with a series of guided walks throughout Metro Vancouver!

Shuttle service from the Fraser River Discovery Centre and back will be offered for some of the guided walks on Sunday, Sept 29th. We encourage you to visit the Family Fun Zone at the FRDC before or after your tour to take advantage of all the excitement! If you live near the tour location or prefer your own method of transit, feel free to meet us there once you have pre-registered.

General Information:
- Guided walks are approximately 1 hour long.
- Forest Therapy: some physiological indicators (blood pressure, heart rate, etc.) will be measured and some questionnaires will be required to fill out. The data is used to analyse how effective forest therapy is for you. Minimum age to participate is 12.
- Intro to Birding: binoculars will be available for use during the walk.
- Guided walks will take place outdoors, rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
Space is limited; please let us know if you are no longer able to attend.

- Discovering Aquatic Animals in Cities @ 12:30pm - 1:30pm (Quayside Boardwalk, leaving from FRDC front steps)
- Boat 101 @ 12:45pm - 1:45pm (Dock near Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Steveston)
- Quayside Tour @ 2pm - 3pm (Quayside Boardwalk, leaving from FRDC front steps)
- Intro To Birding @ 3pm - 4pm (Burnaby Lake Regional Park)
You will not be able to select a timeslot that is already full.
