YIPEE 2024-2025 Values Statement
As members of YIPEE 2024-2025, we seek to make strides forward for area youth. In order to improve our community, we will fund organizations who provide programming that:
- Meets Basic Needs (specifically addressing food insecurity, youth in foster care, and clothing)
- Provides Educational Opportunities (specifically early literacy efforts, sex education, career & mentorship support, and after school and summer activities)
- Supports Physical and Mental Health (specifically access to athletics/sports and mental health support including eating disorders)
- Provides Abuse Prevention and Support to Victims (such as violence and addiction)
- Facilitates Environmental Education (such as: food waste, clean parks, recycling, and preserving the environment).
We hope to see all youth in our community recognized, valued, and supported successfully through our efforts
Timeline
Students utilize these proposals to learn about the elements of philanthropy. The process of being selected to receive a YIPEE grant takes a full academic year. Should students select your proposal for potential funding consideration, you will be asked to give a brief presentation to provide further information about your organization and its request. The email signing up for presentations will go out in October. Presentations will be on November 3 and December 8 in the afternoon. Final funding decisions will be announced in May, and grants will be mailed by GTCF in July.
