What are the Steps to Becoming a Volunteer?
- Register for an online volunteer orientation by clicking: https://bit.ly/volunteer4EH
- Complete this online application.
- Background Check (DOJ & FBI): Once you register for an orientation, you will receive the necessary form to complete and take with you to a Live Scan location. ElderHelp shares the cost and the volunteer portion is $30, which would be paid directly to the Live Scan Location at the time of service. Payment options vary by location, but typically include cash, card (credit/debit), Apple Pay, or Samsung Pay.
- Driving record report: A copy of your current driver’s license and auto insurance is required. ElderHelp will request a driving record report from the DMV directly and covers the processing fee.
- Once all of the above steps are completed, you will be scheduled for an interview via phone or online meeting and your references will be contacted (giving them a heads up can help speed up the process).
