Read In Week with EHS

Request a visit for your K-6 class between October 6 - 10, 2025!
The Edmonton Humane Society is excited to support youth literacy by offering a 30-minute Young Readers Program FREE of charge during Read In Week to classrooms across the City of Edmonton. Every October, teachers and group leaders can request a visit from one of our Humane Educators for a 30-minute reading session at your facility. Our featured books promote empathy and compassion for creatures big and small.

Spaces are limited, so don’t delay! Request your visit and include your bell schedule along with any dates or times you cannot accommodate a visit. Our team will do their best to accommodate as many requests as possible.

In 2024, our educators visited over 47 classrooms—this year, we hope to include yours!
