Are you thinking about making an exciting change to your Unit? We'd love to hear more about it!
Our Declaration sets up an easy-to-follow process.
Please take a quick look at Article 17 to learn more. It's in the "Public Library" on www.SkySailBlvd.com.
We don't review Minor Interior changes like new paint, replacement appliances or replacement HVAC units that use "cold" techniques like Propress to connect new air handlers in your Unit.
We do review Major Interior changes like replacement HVAC units that use "hot" techniques like soldering that might trigger our sprinklers, that increase your plumbing or electrical loads, add significant weight onto your floors, affect our structural integrity, impact our fire protection systems, or impair our common areas.
We also review Exterior changes that significantly change the appearance or safety of your doors, windows, railings, drains or decks.
For some unusual projects, we'll ask you to retain an architect or engineer to prepare plans or we'll ask you to submit a Deed Restriction covering maintenance.
We'll usually expect you to use a licensed and insured vendor.
We'll also expect you to provide us with Specification Sheets for the materials you plan to use.
Finally, we'll point you in the right direction if you need to secure a Building Permit or Historic District Certificate from the City of New Bern.
Our Community Manager Tina or a Board Member will be glad to answer any questions.
Please complete this Request Form to get started.
We've found that the more details you provide at the start, the faster we can reach a decision!
