About Nancy Helen Sparks:
Nancy Helen grew up and spent most of her life in Mayfield. After graduating from Mayfield High School and Murray State University, she invested her adult life in giving back to the Graves County community. She earned a degree in social work and began working in the Mayfield social security office. While raising two children, she worked as a substitute schoolteacher in the Mayfield school system before beginning her career at Annie Gardner. She was passionate about helping students and their families qualify for the Annie Gardner Student Loan and providing less fortunate members of the community with financial assistance for rent and utility payments. She also gave back to her community through her work as a Deacon at First Christian Church. Nancy Helen was funny, kind, compassionate, and a friend to all who knew her.
