  • Apply today for a grant for a French Enrichment Performance for your school!

To help enrich the programming for students learning French in schools across the province, Canadian Parents for French (CPF) Ontario will subsidize the cost of a Virtual or In-person performance or workshop by up to $1,500. Grants are available for French or Bilingual In-Person or Virtual Performances, & Workshops.

BEFORE APPLYING: Please carefully read through all the terms and conditions listed below to ensure you can meet the requirements.

    1) ACTIVITY CHOSEN MUST BE BILINGUAL OR IN FRENCH: French Enrichment Activities must also be held before June 1st, 2025.

    2) YOU MUST SUBMIT ALL EVENT DETAILS IN ADVANCE: The Teacher/Principal who submits this grant application must detail all event information prior to submitting the form. Partner Organizations/Schools are also encouraged to book a French cultural enrichment workshop or interactive performance during the school day.

    3) EMAIL A COPY OF THE INVOICE TO ADMIN: Once approved, please email a copy of the invoice to admin@on.cpf.ca . CPF Ontario can pay the invoice ($1,500 max.) directly to some booking agencies to reduce the administration required by the school.

    4) BANKING INFORMATION: When required, applicants will receive a confirmation email and request for banking information for grant payment by direct deposit.

    5) YOU MUST PROVIDE FEEDBACK: CPF Ontario requires feedback for our funders. We will provide a short feedback form for the teachers who attend the performance to complete following the event. When possible, we will provide a feedback form for students to complete.

    6) RECIPIENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO POST ABOUT GRANT ON SOCIAL MEDIA: Schools are encouraged to recognize CPF Ontario as a sponsor of the performance and to share highlights of the French Enrichment Opportunity on Social Media and with our Communications and Events Coordinator, Meri Karakhanyan at mkarakhanyan@on.cpf.ca

This promotion will help bring continued awareness of the grant for more schools across Ontario to benefit from. If the recipient is not comfortable with posting images from the event, then CPF will provide you with an alternative image to post stating that you are the recipient of the grant and providing a brief description in the caption on how more schools can apply.

    7) NO MORE THAN 5 GRANTS PER SCHOOL BOARD: There is a maximum of 5 grants per school board to ensure that grants are available across the province. Preference will be given to schools that did not receive a Sociocultural Grant in 2024.

    8) FIRST COME FIRST SERVED: Grants will be approved on a first come first served basis in line with the terms and conditions listed within our guidelines.

    9) APPLICATION DEADLINE: The deadline to apply for this grant is April 15th, 2025. Any submissions sent in after this date will be encouraged to reapply next term.

We would like say merci to the Ministry of Education for supporting these grants. We also look forward to collaborating with you, and seeing your students benefit from a French enrichment activity this school year!
