Agreement to Participate

By signing this document, I am agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
The parade participants accept and assume full responsibility for any and all injuries, damages (both economic and non-economic), and losses of any type which may occur and hereby fully and forever release and discharge the Town, its insurers, employees, officers, and elected officials, from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action, or causes of action, present or future, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out of parade or parade related activities. The parade participants agree to comply with all rules and directives imposed by the Town during and after the parade. The parade participant understand and acknowledge that parades involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, and significant property damage. I understand I am the responsible representative for my Holiday Parade entry. I understand that the Town reserves the right to decline my registration due to any forfeitable circumstances, such as current criminal record, hateful imagery, or other. I understand the requirement that I and/or the entry driver attend one mandatory parade safety meeting. If I and/or my driver do not attend a safety meeting, we will not be allowed to participate in the 2024 Weaverville Holiday Parade. During this meeting I will allow the Weaverville Police Department to document the registration of my parade vehicle and the license of its driver. I understand that this information will not be retained by the Town for any reason.
