Commitment to Altar Service
Altar Serving helps youth to grow in faith and build community with other young Catholics. Beach Catholic Altar Servers assist the priest during Mass, by setting the altar and praying with reverence and respect during the Mass. Altar servers are needed at all weekend Masses, and may be asked throughout the year to serve at special liturgies (Holy Days, Holy Week, Holy Hours, Funerals, Weddings etc.) Servers must be in the 4th grade and can continue serving through college. Servers will be assigned to different Masses throughout the month, and are required to serve a minimum of once per month. Altar Servers must arrive to the sacristy 15 minutes prior to the start of Mass to sign in.
