We need any interested K-12 group to complete this form so we can expect your visit and ensure we have trained staff available to make your experience safe & inspiring!
In 2026, all Iowa K-12 Field Trip and Transportation costs at are now covered by the Iowa Arts Council, a division within the Iowa Economic Development Authority.

Mainframe Studios received a grant to cover K-12 tours, workshops, and transportation costs. Schools will need to send Mainframe an invoice to cover reasonable transportation costs.

List your top date preference for your field trip. Note: Our field trip days are Tuesday-Thursday but Mondays & Fridays are available by special request.

How many students will be attending? NOTE: Mainframe Studios can accommodate up to 55 students at a time. (The grant covers a fee of $6/student to cover the art activity expenses and to pay our teaching artists and tour guides.)
What grade level(s) will be attending? We provide curriculum-aligned art experiences tailored for grade levels and taught by trained teaching artists. Due to artist availability, we cannot guarantee a specific art workshop or artist.

Will you need a space for lunch? There may be an additional $50 cleanup fee for lunch spaces to pay for janitorial services. Groups are not permitted to eat in the common areas of Mainframe Studios unless permission in writing has been granted in advance. If you forgo reserving a lunch space, groups may eat outside or on their bus.
