Session 2: Flag Football and Cheer (9/30-10/24)
Which sport will your student be participating in?

Participants learn skills on both sides of the ball including the fundamentals like passing, receiving, kicking and flag pulling in a fun, positive environment. The session ends with the skills showcase!
Skyhawks cheerleading teaches the essential skills to lead crowds and support the home team! Each participant learns cheers, proper hand and body movements and jumping techniques. There is no stunting, just a big focus on fun. The session concludes with a choreographed performance.
Program Details
Programming will take place Monday-Thursday at the Pikes Peak United Way Family Success Center, when Harrison School District 2 is in session. Days where school is not in session YES Program will not be occuring.

YES Program will not be in sesion during Fall Break (10/14 - 10/18)
- Check-In & Snack: 4:00pm - 4:15pm
- Programming Begins: 4:15pm - 5:30pm
- Pick-Up: 5:30pm
*Snack will be provided for students.*

*Please have your students bring a water bottle*

*Please make sure your student has appropriate clothing that they can be inside or outside in.*

All Skyhawks programs begin with our coaches and staff setting expectations for behavior for participants. Participants are reminded of our expectations on behavior at the start of each day. Therefore, we have a 5 - step behavioral process for our participants, coaches and parents to follow. All incidents are documented. If behavior continues past 5 incidents, the child will be removed from the program. Please see the 5 - step beahvioral process below.

Five-Step Behavior Process:
1. One on One Discussion – What did they do? Do they understand why it was not acceptable?
2. Break #1 – Child controls the duration
3. Break #2 – Coach controls the duration
4. After consulting manager, Program Director contacts parent to discuss behavior.
5. Program Director contacts manager to discuss removing child from camp for the day.

There will be walking transportation for students located at Carmel Community School. We will have someone meet the students at Carmel and walk them over to the Family Success Center.

Parents will be expected to inform Carmel Community School staff that their child is permitted to walk to the Family Success Center with YES Program staff for any day of the program they are planning to do so. Any student not on the walking transportation roster that day will NOT be permitted to walk with YES Program staff.
