The PSRC is looking for more volunteers for all PSRC committees to help do the work to move the profession forward in PA. A list of the committees and their goals are listed below. Click the interest link and select the committee(s) that you would be interested in receiving more information about.
Committees:

Audit Committee: The Audit Committee performs quarterly internal audits and ensures an annual external audit or review is performed by an independent professional accountant in conjunction with the Treasurer.Awards Committee: The Awards Committee manages the recognition of exceptional PA respiratory departments, clinical practitioners, and other honorary awards.Bylaws Committee: The Bylaws Committee receives and prepares all amendments to the PSRC Bylaws for submission to the Board of Directors (BOD). The committee may also be called upon to interpret the Bylaws.Education Committee: The Education Committee prepares and executes strategies to support RT educators and education programs and reviews outside requests for PSRC sponsorship of educational events.Elections and Nominations Committee: The Nominations & Elections Committee is responsible for all processes leading to the election of PSRC Board members beginning with a “Call for Nominations” and ending with a report of the duly elected members to the PSRC Board of Directors (BOD).Judicial Committee: Reviews formal, written complaints against any individual Society member or member of the PSRC leadership charged with a violation of the Society's Bylaws or otherwise with any conduct deemed detrimental to the Society or the Association.Leadership Committee: The LARS committee provides a forum for Leaders and Educators from varying institutions of varying experience levels to promote open conversations regarding the advancement of the respiratory profession. A steering committee consisting of experienced leaders and educators will assist with prioritizing agendas and needs of LARS in conjunction with the AARC BOD.Legislative Committee: The Legislative Committee is charged with planning and executing the PSRC Lobbying Day in Harrisburg as well as the PSRC’s participation in the AARC PACT meeting in Washington, D.C., as well as tracking State and Federal initiatives and bills related to respiratory therapy, respiratory therapists, and those issues that affect our patients. Other legislative items are assigned by the President as necessary.Membership Committee: The Membership Committee aims to develop and execute strategies to boost membership while addressing current member concerns.Public Relations Committee: The mission of the Public Relations Committee is to present the PSRC in an impactful way and increase visibility and understanding of current issues related to the field.Research Committee: The Research Committee creates a space for mentorship and collaboration surrounding quality improvement, evidence-based medicine, and research, and operates the Pennsylvania Respiratory Research Collaborative (PRRC).Sputum Bowl Committee: The Sputum Bowl Committee is charged with planning and executing the state practitioner and student sputum bowls with the ultimate goal of determining the two teams that will represent PA in the AARC National Sputum Bowl competition.
