  • At The Modern Dog Company, every grooming appointment is thoughtfully scheduled as a private, one-on-one session to ensure a calm, low-stress experience for your pet.

    If you need to cancel or adjust your appointment, we kindly ask for as much notice as possible—you're always welcome to text us at any time.

    Appointments that are cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee equal to our service minimum of $75 per pet.

    Please note that any outstanding cancellation fees must be settled prior to booking or attending future appointments.

    Missed appointments or repeated last-minute changes may require a deposit to secure future bookings, and in some cases, may result in the inability to continue services.

  • Drop Off and Pick Up Policy

  • At our salon, every grooming appointment is a private, one-on-one experience designed to keep your pet calm, comfortable, and cared for in a cage-free environment. Because we prioritize this personalized approach, we’re unable to accommodate early drop-offs or late pick-ups. We kindly ask that you remain available by text throughout your pet’s visit so we can keep you updated, reach you if needed, and coordinate a smooth pick-up time.

    We’ll always keep you informed—whether we’re running slightly behind or when your pet’s session is nearing completion—so you know exactly when to return.

    To ensure the safest and most relaxing experience for your pet, we ask that you please avoid entering, looking in, or speaking within earshot during the final stages of grooming.

    We completely understand how exciting pick-up time is—for both you and your pup! However, during grooming, even small distractions can create safety concerns. Our team works carefully with professional tools around delicate areas such as the eyes, face, and paws. If your pet becomes overly excited or unsettled after seeing or hearing you, we may need to pause or conclude the session early for their safety. In these instances, full service charges will still apply.

    To maintain a serene and low-stress environment for every guest, repeated interruptions may result in our inability to continue future services.

    When you arrive for pick-up, you’re welcome to come in through our front entrance on McGavock, or simply text us from your vehicle. Once your pet is ready, we’ll bring them to the front and assist you with checkout.
