The Green Jobs Academy is proud to be partnering with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) to recruit, train, and connect 40 or more students for a weatherization internship program. Through this initiative, the Academy will provide comprehensive training in residential energy efficiency and weatherization techniques, equipping participants with the skills needed to secure employment in the growing clean energy workforce. Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with local contractors, gaining hands-on experience that will jumpstart their careers in this in-demand field. This collaboration between the Green Jobs Academy and MassCEC represents a strategic investment in cultivating the next generation of clean energy professionals to drive Massachusetts' transition to a sustainable energy future.
Start Date: January 2025
Program Overview: Green Jobs Academy is accepting 40 new students for its internship program starting January 2025.
Internship Duration: Minimum three (3) month paid internship unless dismissed for cause.
Compensation: Pay rate to be determined by the assigned contractor.
Training:
Initial Training: All required training will be paid for by Green Jobs Academy, up to a maximum of $15,000 per intern.
Ongoing Training: Interns will participate in one to five days per month of continued training every month for up to (10) months
Compliance: Interns must adhere to all Mass Save program guidelines and company policies throughout the internship.
DISCLOSURE STATEMENT By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. This agreement does not obligate you to employ any individual who does not meet your company's guidelines or standards.
2. The purpose of this agreement is solely to:
a) Indicate your interest in potentially taking on new hires through the Green Jobs Academy Internship Program.
b) Confirm your commitment to adhere to the program guidelines as outlined in the above information, should you choose to participate.
3. You retain full discretion in your hiring decisions and may decline to hire any intern who does not meet your company's requirements.
4. By completing this form you indicate your understanding of and agreement with these terms.
