2025 Mendon Riverfest Parade Prize Categories
Prizes will be awarded in the following six categories.
Mendon Spirit Award: This represents the spirit of Mendon.
Enthusiasm Award: The most enthusiastic parade participants.
Neighborly Award: Represents a way of showing care & concern for others.
Design Award: The most complex float design or parade entry.
Ooooh Award: The most eye catching float or parade entry.
Nostalgia Award: The most nostalgic entry representing the days gone by.
Mendon Riverfest Parade Information and Rules
1. There will be a table set up on the morning of the parade across from the fire department on Burr Oak Street. Come here to get your parade route, map and entry number. 2. Line up bumper to bumper Mendon Riverfest Parade Information and Rules the entry in front of you. 3. Before stepping off onto Main Street leave a 40 ft distance between you and the entry ahead of you. 4. If you have walkers they must stay with your unit. 5. No objects of any kind may be thrown within the parade route, walkers must hand them out. 6. During the parade we ask that stops in front of the judges be 2 minutes or less. 7. All drivers must carry a valid drivers license. 8. To ensure safety of parade participants and spectators no water balloons, squirt guns, silly string, firecrackers, etc. will be permitted. 9. Animal units shall be under control at all times and must have a clean up crew to follow. 10. Dress, music and signage shall be displayed in good taste, as this is a family event. 11. Consumption of alcohol by parade participants before or during the parade is prohibited.
