GB 222 Bible and Prayer - A rewarding study about prayer in the life of the believer. Includes 30 aspects of prayer such as: the purpose of prayer, the preparation for prayer, the power of prayer, private prayer, public prayer, and the perfect prayer.
GB 105 Humility - “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time” (1 Peter 5:6). The Lord desires to exalt you! And He will, after your natural pride is replaced with His supernatural humility. In this crucial course, Andrew Murray and others provide great insight from God’s word on the pivotal ingredient of true Christianity.
OT 311 Psalm Course 1 - The book of Psalms is the very heartbeat of God’s Word. The Book of Psalms shows us the truth about sorrow, love, grief, peace, fear, doubt, hope, cares, faith, worries, and stress. The student’s appreciation of Psalms will abound even before finishing this course on the first 72 Psalms.
CE 111 Character Development - Dr. Bob Jones, Sr. said, “Your character is what God knows you to be; your reputation is what men think you are.” Abraham Lincoln put it this way: “Character is like a tree and reputation is like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.” This dynamic study concentrates on the Biblical attributes, attitudes, and actions of a maturing Christian; and how one may obtain them.
GB 331—Key Chapter of the Bible - There are actually 1189 great chapters in the Bible, since every chapter is given by our great God! It would be impossible to single out 500 or even a thousand to distinguish them above the rest, since "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable..." The selections chosen for this study are those listed in the Thompson Chain Reference Bible as Golden Chapters. not because any chapter is more important than another...but each of these chapters simply represent an important Biblical theme. Keep in mind that chapter divisions are relatively new, added by man for our convenience. There is one exception, since the Book of Psalms does not contain chapters, but has been divided into the individual psalms (or songs) from the beginning. These studies are far from exhaustive, but are designed to better acquaint the student with some of the Great Chapters of the Bible.
Bachelor of Arts in Theology
GB 101 Basic Bible Doctrine - This course covers important Bible doctrines, including the attributes of God, the person and work of Christ, the ministry of the Holy Spirit; and teachings regarding man, Satan, angels, the church, and end-time events. Added emphasis is placed on Christian living.
EM 311—Biblical Basis of Missions - The Biblical basis of missions is much deeper than the Great Commission Bible verse. Matthew 29:18-19 is one of the most widely used church mission statements. But what of the actual involvement in missions by the church members? Does the Bible have more to teach about missions? Certainly. Dr. Robert Glover’s classic work gives attention to a wide range of missionary subjects ranging from intercessory prayer to world evangelism.
GB 125 Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with the Father and with the Son in the Godhead. He is not an “it” nor an undefined “spirit just floating out there”. Believers are sealed and indwelt by the Spirit, sanctified with the Spirit, and filled with the Spirit. The student will enjoy this inspiring and balanced look at the attributes and work of the Third Person of the Godhead. Theodore Epp’s research is firmly grounded in
EM 601—EVANGELISM & MISSIONS - The Soul Winner A heart for winning souls for Christ is taught and caught through classic insights from Charles Spurgeon, John R. Rice and R.A. Torrey. Discover why personal work is the most important work God has given us on earth, why it brings more joy than anything we can do, and tips on how to do it more effectively
GB 202 - Key Words of the Christian Life - This doctrinal word study based on the work of Warren Wiersbe covers such topics as justification, adoption, regeneration, propitiation, imputation, sanctification, reconciliation, redemption, intercession, mediation, predestination, and glorification. This course is designed to deepen the student’s walk with Christ

CNC 811—Advanced Nouthetic Counseling - Based on the research of Jay Adams, this course takes a nouthetic (Christ-centered) approach to Christian counseling. Includes help for the actual counseling procedure. Special topics include dealing with anger, envy, depression, schizophrenia, sexual problems, and fear.
CIC 504- Introduction to Christian counseling - Christian Counseling is the systematic application of Biblical principles a counselor uses to approach dealing with circumstances, relationships, and situations of life from a Biblical perspective. Christian Counseling distinguishes itself from other schools of counseling by acknowledging that the Scriptures give us everything necessary to help us understand our mental processes, our actions and reactions to life, our emotional needs, our attitudes, values, and beliefs. Christian counseling also acknowledges that the only authoritative foundation governing man's thoughts, words, and deeds is based upon thecommandments, precepts, and principles found in the Bible. Christian Counseling stems from the belief that the Bible, the Word of God, is sufficient to meet all of the needs of men, women, and children no matter what situation or question may arise.
CBC 505-Bible Principles to Counseling - Christian Counseling is providing guidance and instruction based upon the principles set forth in the Bible and taught and adhered to by Jesus Christ. The tenets of Christian Counseling are: The Bible is the eternal, unchangeable Word of God and provides the sole authoritative source of the model of man and the principles that dictate and govern man's behavior. There is a moral and ethical right and wrong, and these are clearly defined in the Word of God. Man is held accountable to the moral and ethical principles found in the Bible
CCW 503- Counseling According to the word - People need counseling because they have not been able to meet their needs in a Biblically correct manner. The meeting of these needs begin with a realistic and right relationship with God and can be summed up by fulfilling the following: Love God and Love Your Neighbor. The Bible provides extensive and practical instruction on how to obey these two commands. In the absence of a pathology, "mental Illness" is the feeling and state one is in, when his thought and behaviors bring him into conflict with God's laws. This state may be the result of deliberate rebellion to or lack of knowledge of God's laws. Counseling therefore takes on the responsibility to not only educate, but in some instances re-educate the client. Not only must the client learn certain laws and behaviors, but also others must be un-learned.
CBQ 506- Biblical EQ in counseling - This book will answer your deepest questions about emotions in the Christian life - from a biblical and Christ-centered perspective. How can I bring my emotions under control? Did Jesus have emotions? Are my emotions important to God? Is it possible to know true peace? How come some Christians have a glow about them? Why am I always afraid? Some people seem so masterful, how do they do that? Why did Jesus’ weep? Where do emotions come from? How can I express it? By John Edmiston
PM 302 - Pastoral Counseling - There is likely no stickier area of pastoral ministry than counseling. Traps abound. Mistakes will be made. The counseling pastor is in great demand today. How can a devoted pastor combine Biblical teaching with the counseling touch? Archibald D. Hart, Gary L. Gulbranson, and Jim Smith combine decades of experience in pastoral counseling to give the student of a wealth of godly wisdom. “The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever...” (Psalm 33:11)
CCP502- Christian and Psychology - The word itself means the study of the soul. Minirth and Meier give a broader definition in their Introduction to Psychology and Counseling, 'Psychology is the scientific study of the behavior of organism. Basically, psychologists try to find out what makes people tick and how their minds work. Psychology might be thought of as the study of how living creatures are able to interact with their environment and each other, and how they cope successfully or unsuccessfully with that environment'' (p. 15). In other words, psychology is the study of how people live, why they do what they do and what can be done to help them live better. These subjects, by the way, are addressed rather directly by the Scriptures; yet Christian psychologists minimize this truth
Masters in Theology
PM 221 -Sermon Preparation- Preaching is the proclamation of the Good News of salvation, the very truth of God through man to men. The preacher is separated by God for the specific work of preaching the Gospel. Every message the preacher delivers ought to be stamped with his own personality and expressed in his own way. Take this close examination of expository preaching with emphasis on the preparation, process, and organization needed to prepare effective sermons.
NT 316-Colossians - The All-Sufficient Christ by Theodore Epp illuminates the spiritual truths that are packed into the book of Colossians. Often overlooked because it is relatively short, Colossians demonstrates that Christ is all a Believer needs. This course refutes false teaching and shows the Christian how to live based on sound doctrine. The student will gain a greater realization of what the Bible means when it says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col 1.27)
OT 207—Book of Esther - God’s hand of providence and protection on behalf of His people is evident throughout the Book of Esther, though His name does not appear even once. In this study, J. Vernon McGee helps us understand some of the riches and valuable lessons from this great story
OT 203—Book of Ruth - J. Vernon McGee leads this study on the Romance of Redemption. Is there any more memorable statement of faith than Ruth’s “..thy people shall be my people, and thy God shall be my God.”? This woman of faith lost her husband and came out of the idolatrous land of Moab only to be remarried to Boaz. We have much to learn from this ancestor in the line of Jesus our Lord. Redemption is only possible through a Kinsman-Redeemer. The student will gain a fuller appreciation of our Redeemer—Jesus.
NT 131- Gospel of Mark - J. Vernon McGee is quoted as saying, “There is probably more content in the first chapter of Mark than any other chapter in the Bible.” Mark reveals that in spite of Jesus’ busy life, He took time to pray. This verse by verse, chapter by chapter exploration spans Mark’s recounting of the prophecies of Isaiah and Malachi through John the Baptist ending with the Resurrection of Jesus. Have you studied this, Gospel?
SS 425- Church History - A unique study of the fascinating men and women who lived and died standing for God’s truth in the development of His churches, from the days of Christ to the modern era.
CS 313—Life of Joseph- Imagine the thoughts of Joseph while at the bottom of the pit, serving as a slave, or residing in jail. “Why Lord? This doesn’t reflect the dream you gave me!” But God planned it for good. Even in trying circumstances, he could see God’s hand on his life. A practical study tracing the events, circumstances, and results in the life of Joseph. Special emphasis is given to Joseph as a type of Christ.
CS 305—Life of Elijah - “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months”, James 5:17. The prophet is studied in his strengths and his weaknesses, his enormous victories and his deep despair, his times of waiting and his moments of glory. Based on the work of F.B. Meyer
NT 401- Book of Philippians - “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain” is Paul’s fully surrendered statement of faith. Is it yours? Theodore Epp and J. Vernon McGee discuss how Christ is preeminent in all things and how we can see Him as our life, our mind, our goal and our strength. Philippians deals with the philosophy, pattern, prize, and power for Christian living. The Christian will benefit tremendously from this study.
TH 801 —Pneumatology: The doctrine of the Holy Spirit - The Holy Spirit seals all believers as a pledge of our redemption. He supernaturally transforms human nature. He enables Christians to bring about dramatic but peaceful revolution and to face any crisis. He empowers us for God’s work. Unfortunately, teaching on the Holy Spirit has often been distorted at one extreme and discounted on the other end of the extreme. Dr. Billy Graham (considered by many to be the most influential evangelist of the past century) gives a balanced and Biblical teaching of Pneumatology without “watering it down
CE 311 - Directing Christian Education - We eventually found the colored chalk in the supply room and even came up with some great craft ideas for first and second graders. And, as I later discovered, teachers did appreciate the larger perspective I gave —7— to their teaching. And that is what teaching is about: attending to details and giving people a greater perspective. That’s exactly what our three authors do for us here. They discuss the trouble spots of teaching while enlarging our vision of the teaching task. In that way, they help us as we move, with them, on our way toward mastering teaching.
BL 601 & 602 Introduction to Greek (Greek I & II) - A rewarding study of Greek, the original language of the New Testament. Starting with Course I, the student will learn to write the Greek alphabet. This course is composed of 6 workbooks.

CBC 603- Building your Church through counseling - One of the best definitions of a leader is “someone who is willing to take responsibility for someone else.” Lots of people want to absolve themselves of responsibility for anyone but themselves (and some try to dodge even that). But Christians who’ve heard the call of God know that ministry is about caring for others. “Care” isn’t just an emotion, a warm feeling toward people in general, or an affection for a few individuals. No, care implies making sure that basic needs are met. Pastoral care means taking responsibility for the spiritual wellbeing of a group. The “pastoral epistles” are filled with the apostle Paul’s instructions about caring for the flock—details of organization and administration are part of it, but the emphasis is on sound counsel (through personal conversation and through teaching and preaching) and effective care. The purpose: cultivating mature Christian character.
CCR 604-Counseling Recipes - The Bible is not only a revelation of God. It is a revelation of human nature. With the exception of humour, it contains more complete pictures of men and women, of good and evil, then any other work. The Mosaic account of the creation of Eve may not be confirmed by scientific research. But the Book of Proverbs is as true today as when it was first written Like Church Growth, Counselling is another hot topic of the day. Degrees are awarded by more and more seminaries on this subject to more and more students of psychology and psychotherapy. For as modern day stress and strain has caused more and more to break down mentally, emotionally, so must be trained a new generation of counsellors by the study of psychology and psychotherapy. But which text book is most reliable for our study of theology (which totally involves the study of man)? Dr William Lyons Phelps, introducing The Bible for Today edited by John Stirling,
CPP607-Parent on Purpose Counseling - Parenting On Purpose will lay a foundation that can provide for better and more informed choices. However, ultimately, children will eventually exercise their God given right to choose. Now a look at the foundations. Children do change our lives. They change our lives dramatically because of the very nature that children have, which is one of total dependence upon us to care for them. Most of us know, from a serious viewpoint, that it is a great privilege to have children and a privilege to raise the m. It is a wonderful thing to see your children succeed, grow and hopefully become better than what you ever dreamed you could become. Most parents I talk with have great dreams and hopes for their children. Unfortunately, children have their own agenda, and at times can stray in unpleasant even dangerous directions.
CFV 608-Counseling and Family Violence - This manuscript is written for those preparing themselves for effective service in ministry or for personal growth and understanding. This material is meant to be used with the companion study guide. The focus is to first present the various facts and figures, and to lay out a plan for intervention with families caught in the web of violence. Secondly, in the section on victims and victimizers, the dynamics of abuse in various areas is fully detailed. Finally, the section on treatment and recovery details the process of change that most people, perpetrators and victims, can successfully experience with God's power and good clinical wisdom. It is my hope that the reader will grow as he/she processes through the material.
CAB609-Child Abuse and the Coping Strategies - In this book Child Abuse and the Coping Strategies: The Spiritual Implication. It is a book for all ages. Dr. Gordon shares how the Lord can restore to individuals those years that the enemy has stolen during child abuse, brokenness, low self-esteem, shame, and emotional pain that crush their confidence now and years after. There is hope and restoration as you give your life to Jesus, he will indeed restore you! He shares information that will utterly astound you. Oftentimes, the enemy comes in such a subtle way and steals your dignity, leaving you hopeless, and gasping for life. But, trusting in God, he can bring every hurting and broken person back to wholesomeness. However, there are many years of one’s life that have been stolen, and the way one was held captive by the enemy is not the way one would have thought it would happen to anyone. Nevertheless, the amazing God will always expose what was such a deceptive power into the light of truth. Dr. Gordon speaks powerfully how Jesus can set free those individuals who are suffering from emotional and psychological pain of child abuse and in whatever other areas they are bound and are devastated. Their hopelessness can turn into victory! The apostle Paul wrote in Roman. 8:37: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that love us.”

CE 481 -Christian Teacher: by Clarence H. Benson, Litt. D. WHAT is a teacher? A teacher is one who helps somebody else to learn. In other words, the teacher cooperates with the pupil in learning. He does not seek to perform before an audience made up of listening pupils but undertakes with them an activity in which they are busily engaged. There is no teaching unless there is learning. The teacher has not really taught unless the pupil has learned. The object of our teaching is to make something happen in the life of our pupils. The test of our teaching is what happens in the life of our pupil.
CE 321—Christ, the Teacher - In every respect Jesus was the ideal teacher. He presented unique teaching that caused people to recognize something was different. This course delivers an analytical study of teaching techniques used by Jesus. Learn how Jesus used the lecture method, how He captured interest, used illustrations and paradoxes, even asking questions, making commendations and rebukes, that produced disciples.
CM 303—Church Management - Faith, Theology, and Calling are assumed necessities for a pastor. However, pastoral effectiveness is often hampered by inferior skills in church management. In this course, pastors Don Cousins, Leith Anderson, and Arthur D Kruyter share decades of experience—victories and mistakes—that will help the Christian leader who desires to master church management. “And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.” Ex 18:20
SS 351-God in American History - Is America a Christian Nation? There is much discourse in the public square over this topic. What are the facts? A view of history that proves our American heritage is a Christian heritage. This course shows, based on extensive research, the close relationship between God and the founding and development of our country.
NT 611—The Book of Revelation - Everyone is interested in what is going to happen to them and their loved ones after death and what the future holds for this planet. This topic often produces passionate non-biblical arguments and viewpoints—even from Christians. This study of the Book of Revelation is based upon research by Dr. Tim LaHaye. It explains such topics as the rapture of the church, the great tribulation, the final battle against Satan and his hosts, the new heaven and new earth, and much more.
OT 203—The Book of Ruth - J. Vernon McGee leads this study on the Romance of Redemption. Is there any more memorable statement of faith than Ruth’s “.thy people shall be my people, and thy God shall be my God.”? This woman of faith lost her husband and came out of the idolatrous land of Moab only to be remarried to Boaz. We have much to learn from this ancestor in the line of Jesus our Lord. Redemption is only possible through a Kinsman-Redeemer. The student will gain a fuller appreciation of our Redeemer—Jesus
GB 301—Bible Time and Custom - Knowing Oriental manners and customs is basic to understanding the Bible. This course deals with subjects such as customs at mealtime, education of youth, trades and professions, customs regarding marriage and property, along with many more
CC 201—Principle of Spiritual Growth - The aim of this course is to carefully bring out important principles of spiritual growth. The student will learn how to build upon a sound Biblical foundation in Christ. Being filled with the Holy Spirit: What it is, What it is not, What it will do for you, How you may have it. You’ll be inspired by this practical study of various aspects of the Christian life by outstanding servants of God, such as Miles Stanford, E.J. Daniels, and others
OT 101-105-Old Testament Survey I -V. These five courses survey the content, history and customs of the Old Testament. Many Christians wrongly believe that the Old Testament contains nothing relevant for today. It is almost treated as a separate document that is ignored or treated as a dead history. In truth, the Old Testament points to Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said that He came not to abolish the OT but to fulfill it. Bible students must know the OT to fully understand the New Testament.
NT 101 -New Testament Survey - In the years that preceded the coming of Christ, God had been active in the lives of men and in the affairs of the nations. Many had a part in this pre-Christian era. Among the three most important contributors were the Hebrews and their religion, the Greeks and their language, and the Romans and their social and political organization. To the Jew, the Old Testament was the book of God. God was One, the Law was the revelation of His will, and life was under His jurisdiction. There was an air of expectancy that God would intervene and save His people (Luke 2:25).
