Adequate Time: Adopter agrees to give this animal at least two weeks time to adjust and decompress. During this time the animal should be offered a separate space away from any other animals. AGC is here as a resource to provide support and assistance anytime after adoption.

Animal Care: Adopter agrees to seek prompt veterinary care in case of illness or injury. In the event that an animal is adopted on a short-term treatment plan, AGC will provide the adopter with necessary medication. If, within 7 days of adoption, illness or concern arises, the adopter agrees to contact AGC before seeking veterinary care in order for us to cover the expenses. Adopter will provide the animal with fresh water, quality food, shelter, adequate exercise, and human companionship. Adopter will also comply with all state and local laws related to keeping this animal.

Spay/Neuter: In the event that an animal is adopted before they are spayed/neutered, Adopter agrees to coordinate a surgery day/time with AGC; as per state requirement.

Declaw: The Declawing of cats and dogs is inhumane and can cause lifelong effects. Adopter agrees to not declaw the adopted animal.

Ownership: Adopter agrees to not abandon, neglect, or abuse the animal in any way, or allow it to be used for any other illegal activity.

Lost Pet: Adopter agrees to contact AGC and make a serious effort to find the animal if it becomes lost. AGC agrees to provide resources and support in this process.

Returns and Rehoming: If the Adopter is in need of assistance rehoming or returning the animal, AGC will provide resources and support. If necessary, AGC will always accept animals returned to us under any circumstance with no judgment. The adoption fee may be refunded on a case by case basis.

Liability: Adopter understands this animal was possibly found lost, unclaimed, or was rescued by AGC from a dangerous and unhealthy situation. AGC is not liable for any claims, legal actions, losses, injuries, damages, costs, future veterinary care, expenses, or liabilities whatsoever in connection with Adopter’s adoption or ownership of the animal.
