By volunteering with the Chicago Refugee Coalition, you will have the opportunity to connect with people from all walks of life, learn new skills, and make a difference in the lives of those we serve. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available and we are confident that we can find a role that suits your skills and interests. Are you interested in becoming a Lead Volunteer? Lead Volunteers perform a variety of tasks with enhanced responsibility. These tasks include (1) volunteer coordination; (2) volunteer outreach; (3) day-of volunteer management and (4) liaison between volunteer groups and CRC staff. Lead Volunteers are encouraged to donate at least 3 hours a week of their time.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment, we will conduct a background check by reviewing your name through three publicly available databases: (1) Nationwide Sex Offender Registry; (2) the Illinois Sex Offender Registry, and (3) the Illinois Violent Offender and Murderer Against Youth Registry. This process is a crucial step in ensuring the safety and well-being of those we serve.
