OTrak Chalk Walk Competition

All competing chalk will create an original chalk drawing inspired by the theme: “Natural Wonder, Great and Small” – (Florida flora and fauna). Ocala’s OTrak is a pathway from City Hall to the Tuscawilla Art Park designed to increase the public’s movement and mobility with walking, cycling, and skateboarding around town. Artists are welcome to creatively interpret the theme and the OTrak’s purpose with an original chalk design that’ll be drawn/implemented during the OTrak Chalk Walk Competition.

Participating artists must be residing and working in Florida, be eligibile to work in the United States, and have a valid IRS tax ID number.

**All chalk art must be of original design without any copyright infringement or branded content. All chalk art must be family-friendly and non-political.**

**A valid, active email address is required to participate in Ocala OTrak Chalk Walk Competition.**

Artists must be completed with their chalk drawings by 4:00 p.m. for the juror to evaluate and rank along with the public’s vote on People’s Choice. The juror will select First and Second Place Winners that’ll be announced at Tuscawilla Art Park at 4:30 p.m. Winners’ checks will be issued after the event and can take up to 4 weeks to be delivered.

Artists will be provided with a location number for their 6’ x 6’ square that’ll be marked out on the OTrak. Student artists will have a chalk area size of 3’ x 3‘. Chalk will be provided for student artists; all other tools are the responsibility of the participant. Artists are permitted to arrive earlier than the event start time to begin working. There will be a complimentary cooling and refreshment tent available to all artists it will have: free water, snacks, and a seating area. Food trucks will also be available onsite. Artists are welcome to have a tip collection throughout the day.

Artists should bring their own chalk and materials; however, any paint and non-washable materials are prohibited.
