• Girl Scout Silver Award Final Report

    Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia
  • This Final Report is for you (and your team, if you have one) — a Girl Scout Cadette — to get your Silver Award project approved. You'll fill it out with help from your troop leader, your adult Girl Scout supervisor, and (if you want) a project advisor.

    How to Fill It Out

    • Read the questions first. Look at the Silver Award Final Report (it's a PDF, just for you to look at — you'll actually turn in your answers through this online form) and think about what you want to say before you start writing.
    • Fill out all 4 sections. If you're working with a group, do Sections 1 and 2 together as a team. Section 3 is just for you — everyone writes their own reflection. Once all three sections are done, move on to Section 4 to get signatures. You have to turn in all four sections together — not one at a time.
    • Section 1 — What happened: Look back at your original project plan and update it with how the project actually went. If you spent money or raised money, attach your budget sheet and any money-earning forms.
    • Section 2 — How you told people about it: Show how you shared your project with others. Attach photos, videos, flyers, or anything else that proves you did the work. If you used photos of other people, include photo release forms.
    • Section 3 — What you learned: Write about your own personal experience — what you learned, what was hard, what you're proud of. You must include your time log here.
    • Section 4 — Signatures: Get the required signatures once everything else is finished.
    • Turn in the whole form. Submit it through the Silver Award Final Report link on this form Heads up — it can take up to two weeks to process, so don't wait until the last minute!

    A few friendly reminders:

Your project might not turn out exactly the way you planned — and that's totally fine! You still earn your Silver Award as long as you meet the requirements. What matters most isn't a "perfect" project — it's what you gained: more confidence, better organization skills, teamwork, and more.

Deadline: Finish your project and this Final Report by September 30 of the year you (or your oldest teammate) finish 8th grade.

Keep a copy of this report for yourself!

    • 2. Reflection Questions:

    • Signature Page
    • We*—the Girl Scout Cadette(s), troop/group leader and adult Girl Scout volunteer supervisor—agree and understand that the Silver Award Project:

      • Cannot be just a collection or donation drive. Donations may be part of a larger Silver Award project.
      • Cannot be a fundraiser for another organization, program, or individual.
      • Is not simply volunteering time for another organization in an already existing project.
      • Cannot be done by multiple teams. Only one team (1–4 Girl Scouts) may collaborate on each Silver Award project.
      • Is a Take Action project, not a community service project—even if the community service project is very large and takes a lot of time and hard work.

I, Girl Scout Cadette, followed all the requirements and guidelines as outlined by the Cadette Workbook for Earning Your Silver Award and my council during my Silver Award project.
