Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Operations & Retail Manager to lead and manage our jewellery workshop and retail store. This role requires someone who can seamlessly oversee operations while maintaining a high standard of customer service. As we’re a small business, we need someone who can wear many hats, showing initiative and a willingness to get involved across all areas of the business. While experience is valued, our main priority is finding a motivated individual with a friendly personality. Training will be provided, and we are excited to discover and develop the strengths of the right candidate, allowing the role to evolve based on their skills and interests. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter upper management and advance their career in the fashion field.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Retail Management: Oversee retail store operations, manage the sales team, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain a pristine store environment.
Operations Oversight:
Manage day-to-day workshop operations, including inventory management, vendor coordination, and ensuring production timelines are met.Venue
Management: Ensure the overall presentation of the workshop and retail space is up to standard, addressing any issues related to store appearance or functionality. This includes basic HR, managing staff working hours.Team
Support: Assist the director with task completion, providing hands-on support where needed, and ensuring that the team meets their objectives eg. Organising store repairs or helping to organise deisgner markets or organise photoshoots.
Customer Experience: Foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers, ensuring their experience is reflective of our brand’s values and quality.
What We’re Looking For:
A versatile individual who can wear many hats and get involved across the business.
Experience in retail or operations management is a plus, but we prioritize motivation and a friendly personality.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage both people and operations effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail..
Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a commitment to being on-site in Ahangama.
Must be living on the south coast of Sri Lanka or willing to relocate.
