This form is for Elliott School graduate students requesting a transfer from one Elliott School graduate program to another.
Non-Elliott School students who wish to transfer into an Elliott graduate program must apply for admission through the Elliott School Graduate Admissions Office.
Guidelines
Students seeking an internal transfer from their current program to another Elliott graduate program must follow the steps outlined below and include the required documentation. Missing or incomplete documentation will result in a longer processing time.
Steps:
- Meet with their current program director to discuss their desire to switch programs.
- Optional: Meet with the program director of the intended program to discuss their interests and goals to ensure they align.
- Optional: Meet with their academic advisor.
- Gather the required documents.
- Current resume
- Completed Comprehensive Action Plan (CAP) for the proposed program.
- Optional: If additional space is needed to explain the reason(s) for transferring, the student may include a supplemental document.
- Submit this form and include the required documents.
The student's academic advisor and program director will review the request, and the student will be notified of the decision within five to ten business days via e-mail and, if approved, the student's record will be updated at that time.
Students should not assume that their program transfer request will be approved. Until a student receives written confirmation that the transfer has been approved, the student should continue to follow the curriculum requirements of their current program.
