2025 Open Water Zone Team Application

Application Deadline:
The Southern Zone Open Water Championship meet will be held in Ft. Myers Beach, FL on April 27-28, 2025.

All team members will be required to sign the LSC Team Travel Agreement & Code of Conduct.

A full team consists of 6 members of the following age groups:
- 11-12
- 13-14
- 15-16
- 17-18
Swim Across America- Atlanta on September 21, 2024 will offer 1 spot per age group and gender. Swimmers must swim the age group corresponding with the age they will be qualifying for (1 mile for 11-12 and 3 miles for 13 & Over).

Okefenokee Gator Fest on October 06, 2024 will offer 1 spot per age group and gender. Swimmers must swim the age group corresponding with the age they will be qualifying for (2.5K for 11-12 and 5K for 13 & Over).

Georgia Swimming Open Water Championships on April 2025 will offer 3 pots per age group and gender. Swimmers must swim the age group corresponding with the age they will be qualifying for (2.5K for 11-12 and 5K for 13 & Over).

One spot per age group and gender will be offered to the top spots for the distance swims at Short Course State Championships (Senior State on December 1-3, Age Group State on February 15-18)

Selection Process
- 1 Swimmer will be selected from the age group at the qualifier races (Okefenokee Gator Fest & Swim Across America - Atlanta)
- 3 swimmers from each age group will be selected from Georgia Swimming Open Water State Championship (Waycross, GA)
- 1 swimmer from each age group will be selected based on top scoring distance race at Short Course Age Group and Senior State.
- Any remaining open spots will be picked using 1650 times for 13 & over or 1000 for 11-12.
