United Nursing College can assist in building a strong educational foundation with our diverse range of general education courses. These courses provide essential skills in communication, critical reasoning, mathematics, science, and social awareness. Our curriculum and qualified, experienced instructors equip you with tools to succeed both academically and professionally, enhancing your overall learning experience.
Our general education courses, delivered through our Canvas learning management system, have been thoughtfully designed by experts in the field to satisfy requirements for forthcoming programs. The rigorous online courses are ten weeks and include a variety of active learning activities that have been carefully aligned to student learning outcomes.
Courses must meet UNC's established minimum enrollment threshold of 7 students. Refunds or placement in future courses will be offered to students for courses that do not reach minimum enrollment.

**PLEASE NOTE: The Anatomy & Physiology Refresher courses DO NOT fulfill the prerequisite requirements for Anatomy and Physiology. They are non-transferable and specifically designed for those who have already taken Anatomy & Physiology courses and are wanting to be refreshed of the information or gain an introductory understanding prior to entering their educational pathway into nursing, medicine, physical therapy, etc. There are no laboratory components within these courses.
- These courses are mandatory for students who would like to apply to the ADN program and their Anatomy and/or Physiology courses are seven years old or older.
- These courses are optional for students who would like to increase their science GPA for application purposes (science GPA must be a minimum 2.5).
