    Workshop Committee:

    The Workshop Committee is tasked with organizing high-impact educational events, workshops, and seminars that focus on leadership development, skill-building, and personal growth for women leaders within HSWLA. This committee is responsible for identifying relevant topics, securing knowledgeable speakers or trainers, and managing logistics for all educational initiatives.

    Social Events Committee:

    The Social Events Committee organizes networking events and social gatherings aimed at fostering connections and collaboration among women leaders within HSWLA and our broader community.

    Membership and Outreach Committee:

    The Membership and Outreach Committee is focused on growing and sustaining the HSWLA community by developing strategies to attract new members, engage current members, and enhance the organization’s visibility. This committee works to create a welcoming environment, ensuring that members feel valued and connected, while also promoting the benefits of HSWLA’s programs and initiatives to the broader community. The committee also seeks to build partnerships and collaborations that extend the reach and impact of the organization.

    Mentorship Committee:

    The Mentorship Committee is responsible for developing and overseeing a mentorship program that connects experienced women leaders with those seeking guidance and support within HSWLA and the broader community. This committee creates mentorship pairings, provides resources and training for mentors and mentees, and ensures the program aligns with the organization’s mission to empower women through personal and professional growth.

    Impact Committee:

    The Impact Committee operates in compliance with 501(c)(3) guidelines, focusing solely on nonpartisan advocacy. All policy issues considered by the Alliance must align with its mission to advance women’s leadership, economic opportunity, health, well-being, and empowerment. Priority focus areas include K-12 education and healthcare access at the local level, and healthcare access and family support at the state level. The committee monitors relevant legislative and policy developments, educates Alliance members, and engages in public awareness efforts and collaborations with other nonprofits. All advocacy aligns with the Alliance’s approved policy framework and requires majority support from members. The committee does not engage in political campaigning or candidate endorsements. Each committee member will receive a copy of the Impact Committee Description and Advocacy Framework Policy. Members asked to formally represent HSWLA must sign the Impact Committee Member Agreement prior to any official representation.
