First Baptist Church is happy to announce the relaunch of the Widow Ministry. This deacon-led ministry exists to support and encourage the widows of FBC Bryan by building and strengthening relationships. Our desire is to help each widow maintain her joy of life through committed personal ministry. Our goal is to be available to assist you with any practical, physical, emotional, or spiritual needs.
Essentially, the widows of FBC Bryan who choose to participate will be matched with a deacon in the church. Our deacons and their wives desire to assist you in the following ways:
- Contact you at least once a month with a phone call, letter, or visit.
- Address any of your special needs or concerns that may be critical.
- Notify the church prayer coordinator of special prayer needs.
- Assist in arranging the delivery of the Lord's Supper for homebound widows.
Your FBC family is excited about this renewed opportunity to serve you. We plan to begin around October 1, 2023. You can expect a contact soon from one of the deacons or his wife to discuss this new ministry. We hope you will be lifted up and encouraged by your participation in this work of service in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Your deacon body will be blessed and honored by your participation.
In His Service.
