We do encourage you to check fire conditions before burning. You can visit https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=CRH&product=FWF&issuedby=LIX for the fire danger level in your area. Find your Parish and then reference the 'Category Day' field. The levels are as follows:

1 - Low (Green): Fires are unlikely to start without intense heat sources.
2 - Moderate (Blue): Some wildfires may ignite at a moderate size and intensity.
3 - High (Yellow): Weather and fuel conditions mean that wildfires are likely.
4 - Very High (Orange): Fires will start easily, and suppression efforts may struggle to keep up.
5 - Extreme (Red): The highest level, indicating extremely dangerous fire conditions
