  • Use this form to sign up as an attorney volunteer for the 2024 Pro Bono IP Fair to be held:

    • Virtually from Tuesday, Oct. 29 through Saturday, Nov. 1

    If something changes in your availability after you already submitted this form, you may update your availability by simply resubmitting the form.  We ask that you do so no later than COB Friday Oct. 18, otherwise you might be scheduled for a time you are unavailable.  If that is the case and you have already received a client assignment, we ask that you reach out to the pro bono client yourself to reschedule for a time that works for you both.

    We strive to only connect you with pro bono clients whose stated needs are within your expertise. Please select which types of matters you are competent and willing to receive.  If you do not select a category, we will assume you cannot provide advice in that regard.

    You will be matched with a pro bono client based on your availability.  

    Virtual

    You will be scheduled to meet with clients virtually from Tuesday, Oct. 29 through Friday, Nov. 1, depending on your availability. 

  • Law Student Shadowing

    The Fair has always been a collaboration with UNM School of Law with the goal of providing law students interested in IP practice the opportunity to sit in on the consultations. We will assume that you are willing to allow a law student to join in on your pro bono consultation with the client.  Please have the law student simply join in remotely on the meeting platform with your client.  If you do not want to have a law student involved in your consultations with the client, please select the box below:

  • Your Platform of Communication

    If you volunteer for the virtual clinic, it will be your responsibility to coordinate the video/teleconferencing with the pro bono client and law student.  The clinic does not provide a platform. 

  • Next Steps

    Sometime the week leading up to the Clinic, we will send you your pro bono client matches. You will then be asked to coordinate with the client and law student the exact time and date of the consultation (unless we already did so for you) and the means of communication with the client yourself (videoconference or teleconference) prior to the scheduled meeting time. Thank you for volunteering!  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Justin Muehlmeyer at JRM@PeacockLaw.com
