  • Public-private sector interfaces in farmed animal G2P research

    EuroFAANG Research Infrastructure survey
  • We are conducting a survey to assess the current landscape of cross-sector collaboration and resource-sharing in genotype to phenotype (G2P) research in farmed animals. Our goal is to identify opportunities for enhancing data sharing and improving collaboration between public and private sectors. Your insights will be invaluable in pinpointing key areas for better communication and cooperation. Thank you for your participation.

  • SECTION 1

    DEMOGRAPHY AND RESEARCH FOCUS
  • Which sector best describes your current role/affiliation?
  • Which farmed animal species does your G2P research focus on?
  • SECTION 2

    DATA USAGE AND COLLABORATION
  • Do you currently use data from another sector (i.e. an academic using data generated in industry, or vice versa)?
  • In your opinion, what are the limitations to better sharing of resources and data between the public and private sectors in your field?
  • SECTION 3

    Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
  • In your opinion, if intellectual property/confidentiality concerns could be alleviated by encrypting genomic and phenotyping data such that the intellectual property of the data creator was not compromised, would this help to improve collaboration across sectors?
  • SECTION 4

    Future Improvements and Major Challenges
  • Are there any major challenges/research questions in your field that would benefit from restriction-free sharing of data across sectors? For example the challenge is too big for one group/company to tackle alone.
  • SECTION 5

    Additional Comments
  • Would you be interested in attending a short (1-2 hours) webinar/discussion about existing and required interfaces between industry and academia in farmed animal G2P research? If yes, what challenges/topics would you like to see discussed?
  • Should be Empty:
