  • STOP! If you do not have at least a 2.0 GPA from last term, DO NOT AUDITION!!! Being in a performing group is an extra burden and your time should be spent on your grades.

Singing and acting auditions will be after school on September 2nd and 3rd.
You will have a total of 2 minutes to perform your audition. Here is what you need to prepare:

    • If you are auditioning for a lead/speaking role, you'll need to come prepared with 16 measures of a song in that shows off your ability to sing with emotion and energy AND a short, comedic monologue. (Cold reads will be available for those who don't have a prepared monologue.
    • If you are auditioning to be a part of the ensemble, you'll only need to sing and aren't required to perform a monologue.

  • Conflicts

  • We want our shows to be extraordinary and that requires us to treat rehearsals just as a professional theatre company would. While we understand the need for flexibility in some cases, please be sure in your commitment to this production. The schedule is obviously subject to change, but here is a good idea of what to expect.

    • Rehearsals begin September 8th
    • Most rehearsals occur after school from 2:45pm-5:30pm/6:30pm until Fall Break
    • When we return from fall break, rehearsals will occur from2:45pm-8:00pm through Tech Week
    • No conflicts are permitted starting on November 5th
    • November 10-14 is Tech Week from 2:45pm-8:00pm and November 15 from 7am-2pm
    • November 17 & 18 are dress rehearsals and possible Matinees for Middle Schoolers.
    • November 19, 20, 21, & 22 are performances!
    • November 24 is Strike and Cleaning

You must commit to every performance. Please don't audition if you are unable to attend all mandatory rehearsals and performances beginning on November 5th.

The last date to submit any approved conflicts is September 6th. If you miss more than two scheduled rehearsals, you may be removed from the production.

It is crucial that you list your conflicts here. Upon casting the show, we will use this information to create the rehearsal schedule, and we will try to accommodate reasonable requests.

Make sure you've thought of potential school conflicts and a variety of family events (birthdays, weddings, religious events, school performances, back-to-school night, etc.).

If you don't list a conflict here, we expect you to give rehearsal priority over other events, even family ones. We only plan to teach choreography once (we'll rehearse them a lot), and we only plan to block scenes once. If you are excused from a rehearsal, it's your responsibility to get somebody to take notes and teach you what you've missed.
