Guidelines for JNA Application for Leadership Scholarship Award
Application Deadline: September 14, 2024
- Applicant must be a full-time student attending an undergraduate or graduate school in the United States, one of its territories or Jamaica, with a GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0.
- Past applicants who were not awardees are eligible to apply for the scholarship again.
- Applicant must be a resident of Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia (Washington DC Metropolitan area) or Jamaica.
- Applicant must be Jamaican by ancestry, birth or citizenship.
- A signed personal letter from the applicant should indicate their Jamaican heritage, community engagement, school activities, how their education is being financed, their educational goals, and their employment status.
- A Letter of Recommendation must be submitted with the application by an official from the applicant's current school who is familiar with the applicant's academic record, community involvement and financial need.
- Applicant must provide an original copy of their most recent official transcript.
- Applications and all supporting original documentation must be submitted no later than deadline of September 14, 2024

- All applicants, their families and friends are invited to the Student Leadership Scholarship Awards Ceremony which will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 @ 7:00 p.m. in Silver Spring, MD, USA.
