Scholarship Policy Statement

Yavapai Youth Choirs strives to promote vocal music education to young singers within the local community. While we want to make this opportunity available to all young singers, we recognize that a financial need can arise. YYC assists with scholarships based on funds available. In turn, YYC requires students and parents to volunteer in ways that support the Yavapai Youth Choir program. This may be in fundraising, backstage help, administrative help, room set-up/tear-down, concert decorating and volunteering, etc. This involvement can be done by the parents, student, or both.

The intent of this scholarship is specifically tied to assisting students with the tutition cost for YYC. Awards are based on need, are not to exceed 50% of the fees of the specific choir, and are based on availability of funds each semester.
