Week 6 (Oct. 25th): Hatching Dragons
Bring your favorite dragon toys and prepare for an enchanting day of mythical adventures. As we explore the world of these magnificent creatures, you'll have the chance to create your own dragon eggs and learn about different dragon legends. Let your imagination soar as high as a dragon in flight!
Week 7 (Nov. 1st): Celebrate Día de los Muertos with Us!
Join us for a special Day of the Dead Funday as we honor loved ones who have passed away through colorful and meaningful traditions. This joyous two-day celebration, held on November 1st and 2nd, is filled with rich symbolism and offers families a chance to remember and celebrate the lives of their ancestors.
Activities will include creating decorations for our ofrenda (offering table) using tissue paper marigold flowers, ornamental sugar skulls, and Papel Picado—intricately cut paper banners that symbolize the wind and the fragility of life. Come and learn about the vibrant customs that make this celebration so special, and help us build a beautiful space for remembrance and reflection. 💀🌸🕯️
Week 8 (Nov. 8th) Curious Sea Creatures
Dive into the deep blue sea with your favorite marine toys! Explore the mysterious lives of curious sea creatures through interactive games and art projects. Create your own underwater world, and learn about the fascinating creatures that inhabit the ocean. Don’t forget to bring your sea creature toys for an imaginative excursion!
Week 9 (Nov. 15th): Mad Scientist
Channel your inner scientist and bring any science-themed toys you have—robots, microscopes, or anything that sparks your curiosity! Participate in wacky experiments and create crazy concoctions. Discover the fun in science and unleash your inventive spirit as we experiment with reactions, colors, and much more.
Week 10 (Nov. 22nd): Join Us for a Thanksgiving Funday!
Let’s come together to celebrate gratitude and community at our Thanksgiving Funday! We’ll enjoy fun, hands-on activities like crafting thankfulness trees, making fall-themed decorations, and sharing stories about what we’re thankful for. It's a wonderful opportunity for families to reflect on the meaning of gratitude and celebrate the season with creativity and togetherness.
As William Arthur Ward said, “Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.” Let's celebrate the joy and blessings of this season together! 🍂🦃🍁
