What type of sample is tested ?

Blood Draw is required. TB Test (QuantiFERON®-TB Gold Plus, developed in 2001) is a blood test that produces more accurate results than the skin test (developed in 1907). Unlike the skin test, QuantiFERON TB test is not affected by Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccination.
