At Baby Bubbles, we try strive to offer a catch-up class if you need to miss a session due to illness or planned holiday. We truly value this 'extra mile' service, which many other swim schools do not provide. We believe it sets us apart by offering you both flexibility and value for money.
However, please note that missing a class does not mean we owe you a replacement, as we are charged for pool hire regardless of attendance.
Currently, with most classes nearing full capacity, we are dedicating a significant amount of administrative time to arrange catch-ups—often involving multiple emails. This is becoming unsustainable given the number of clients.
To ensure we can continue offering this service, we are introducing the following restrictions.
Catch-Up Policy Summary
- Catch-up classes are available only if you notify us of your absence before your scheduled class via email. The earlier we are informed, the better. We understand that in cases of illness, notifications may only be possible on the day of the class. Without prior notice, we cannot offer a catch-up.
- We cannot guarantee a catch-up slot, as availability depends on others notifying us in advance and your flexibility to attend offered classes.
- Catch-up requests can be booked up to one week in advance. Please complete the catch-up request form, and we will inform you of available options within that period.
- When submitting the form, please include your child's name, class time, and preferred days. Additionally, provide an idea of your availability (e.g., weekends only or specific days you cannot attend). Indicate any days you cannot make and whether weekends are preferable.
- You must specify all days you are available; we will then book you into an appropriate class based on availability. Please note that spaces offered may no longer be available if subsequently booked by others.
- The catch-up class may be at a different level (above or below your usual level), but it will still be a 30-minute swim, tailored appropriately for your child.
- If none of the offered sessions are suitable, we are unable to reschedule that particular catch-up.
- Each client is limited to a maximum of two catch-ups per term.
- Catch-up classes cannot be carried over from one term to the next.
- Once your form is received, your request will be placed on a waiting list. We do not have the capacity to respond to every request individually. If a space becomes available, we will contact you.
