Purpose: The PSJA Education Foundation Teacher Mini-Grant Program is designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches to the accomplishment of district and/or campus educational initiatives. Projects should enhance or expand classroom or district curriculum.
Projects that can be funded by the district or campus will not be considered for funding, such as: beautification, purchase of uniforms, supplies, field trips, recycling bins and teacher conference costs. Projects must follow district guidelines.
Persons Eligible to Apply for Grants: Teacher or teams of teachers employed by PSJA ISD. This includes: counselors, librarians, nurses and administrative staff. Paraprofessionals may apply if partnered with a teacher.
Eligible Proposals: Instructional approached student centered activities or projects designed to begin Spring 2025. Projects must be completed by the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

Award of Funds: Grants of $500 or $1,000 will be awarded to teacher-initiated programs or projects.
If grant is awarded, funds must be expended according to the following time frame:
+Funds will be disbursed to the Principal on the designated day of the Prize Patrol (any day during the start of the spring semester). Checks must be deposited within 1-week of disbursement.
+Teachers will use the prize money until the project comes to fruition or the funds have been fully disbursed before May 31, 2025.
Note: Non-consumable purchases will be the property of the campus.
If selected, you must turn in a final project report prior to the end of the 2024-2025 school year. Any campus not submitting the final report for all its grantees will not be considered for funding the following year. More information regarding this report will be given at the time the award is presented.
