Welcome to the Club Utah Basketball Academy Family!
Parents, thank you for supporting your player's love for basketball. Thank you for trusting our vision. We aim to bring the best resources and training to your players and create the top basketball club organization in Utah. Our goal is to help your player develop his or her skills through a safe environment where he or she can build self-confidence, teamwork, and character through the game of basketball.
As a member of our club teams, you are representing yourself, your family, your peers, and Club Utah Basketball Academy (CUBA). CUBA takes pride in the level of excellence and character it has to offer. Maintaining a high standard requires commitment and dedication. Our policies and procedures are here to ensure that all players and their families are treated equally and with respect.
Discipline + Attitude
Having a positive attitude is important in Club Utah. We ask every player to be considerate and supportive of every member (player) of Club Utah to help us build club players with strong characters and empathy for others. If a player or parent is found, in any way, to be causing conflict among members of the team, management reserves the right to address the behavior as needed, which may include suspension from the club. Being a member of our club team is a privilege. If you do have a problem, please let us know privately, and we will work with you to the best of our abilities to resolve it.
Club Utah DOES NOT tolerate any type of bad sportsmanship from our players, parents, coaches, and operations team. If this occurs, you will be warned once and then asked to leave the club depending on the severity of the act. Club Utah aims to be a safe environment for our players and their families. As such, we have zero tolerance for gossiping or slandering another member of the club. Any player, parent, coach or member of our operations team who physically injures another player, coach, or member of our operations team will be asked to leave the club.
Please be on time to practices, clinics, leagues, and tournaments. All players are expected to set a positive example to their peers. We ask that as a club member, you commit to living a healthy lifestyle. Any illegal or immoral behavior at Club Utah will not be tolerated. Lastly, please be respectful to your coaches and trainers.
Parental Support
We ask that parents be supportive of their players and coaches. We aim to help our players build confidence and progress in a safe environment. We ask that our club members (including parents and coaches) be supportive of their own team as well as other Club Utah teams. We do not tolerate parents coaching from the sidelines. Save your feedback for after the game and allow your player to focus on the game, their coach, and teammates. Coaching from the sidelines will create more confusion and will send the message that the coach is incompetent. If you have feedback or suggestions or need clarification on coaching methods please schedule a private meeting with your coach.
Parent responsibilities include:
Arrange transportation to and from practices, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and all club events.
Pay all fees on time or early.
Communicate with your coaches and trainers.
ASK admin or coaches if you have questions or concerns.
Cheer for our teams.
Promptly pick your player up at the end of practices, clinics, leagues, tournaments, and all club events.
Coaches and Club Utah Staff are NOT ALLOWED to give rides to players at any time.
Attire + Dress Code
