佛光兒童英文佛學班：為孩子開啟精進智慧力

專為5-12歲孩子設計的秋季課程，這學期以「忙就是營養」為主題，不僅讓孩子們在佛法的智慧中成長，更幫助他們培養積極正面的生活態度。在課程中，孩子們透過佛教故事、佛門行儀、靜心訓練和美術創作等活動，將「三好」（做好事、說好話、存好心）的理念融入日常生活，養成勤奮向上的美德。
星雲大師強調，兒童的信仰培養不僅對他們自身的成長至關重要，還能深刻影響家庭和社會的和諧。星雲大師指出：「兒童初長，慧解日增，更可為國棟樑。」學佛的小朋友在佛法中收穫內在的堅韌與智慧，為未來的挑戰做好準備，讓孩子在人生中走得更穩、更歡喜自信。

What makes the Buddha’s Light Children Dharma Class special is our commitment to promoting the Three Acts of Goodness - Do Good Deeds, Say Good Words, and Think Good Thoughts. This legacy movement from Venerable Master Hsing Yun (the founder of Fo Guang Shan Monastery) is the driving force of our dedication to nurture compassion, wisdom, and faith in young children.

The program theme of “Busy Bees’ Joyful Harvest” illustrates the importance of the law of causes and effects. Just like how honey bees make honey, practicing diligence will bring the nectar of Dharma joy. Likewise, as children understand how to sow seeds of goodness in their everyday lives, there will surely be meaningful harvests of righteousness and morality.

From Buddha-Dharma stories to mindfulness practice, our interactive and exploratory curriculum will guide children to discover the value of hard-work. Experiential learning and reflections encourage youngsters to make wisdom a part of their future outlooks.

When: September 29, 2024 to January 12, 2025 (No classes on 10/13, 11/3, and 12/15)

Time: 9:45 am – 12 noon

Register Fee:Returning student: $30 / New student:$45 (including uniform)

The program will be fully conducted in English. All students will be required to wear their Buddha's Light Dharma Class t-shirts to every class.

I hereby give consent to Fo Guang Shan Temple of Toronto in taking and using my or my children’s photographs (digital or hard copy, collectively called "Image") and videos/audio/mp3 (collectively called "Recording") for the temple's publications and displays. I understand that it is my sole responsibility to ensure my child's welfare outside the classroom and to provide up-to-date information to the administration in case of changes.
