• Call-for-Walls Application: Get Out the Vote

With all eyes on Ohio for the 2024 presidential election, ArtWorks is teaming up with arts organizations across the state to re-ignite voter enthusiasm and drive participation.
  • About the Get Out the Vote Project

ArtWorks is organizing the non-partisan “Get Out the Vote” project with renowned street artist Shepard Fairey, which will include the creation of a large-scale mural in Cincinnati and dozens of smaller, temporary wheat paste murals in Cincinnati this September. This Call-for-Walls is specifically for finding walls or "canvases" for the temporary wheat paste murals. Let us know if you would like to be a part of making history!
  • What we are looking for:

We are looking for walls with high visibility within the City of Cincinnati. Walls should have a smooth surface with few windows, doors, signs, or other obstructions and should be accessible by foot or ladder.
  • When will the wheat paste murals be installed?

    September 15–21, 2024
  • What are wheat paste murals?

Wheat paste murals use a biodegradable glue to temporarily attach printed paper to outdoor surfaces like buildings. The glue is made from water and flour and the murals are intended to last 12 months to several years.
  • What will the art look like?

All of the wheat paste murals are designed by the artist Shepard Fairey. If a property is selected by ArtWorks, the building owner will have the opportunity to view options of artwork and choose which artwork they would like to have on their building.
  • Is there a deadline?

Please submit your wall and information by Monday, September 9, 2024.
