Request an Internship
Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in requesting an internship. Please see our website for a list of current internship opportunities.
Internships provide a meaningful opportunity to learn about Swedish work culture while building your professional skills and network. We expect you to treat your internship as a serious commitment and to diligently fulfill your tasks as defined by the internship provider. Failure to do so might result in canceling your internship at any time during the semester.
We expect you to abide by The Swedish Program’s Terms and Conditions while participating in your internship. This includes acting with respect for the norms, traditions, and rules of the organization; using maturity and reasonable judgment in your conduct; and assuming full responsibility for your behavior.
You may apply for up to three internships per semester, ranked in order of your preference. You will be placed in a maximum of one internship per semester. Please apply only for internships for which you would enthusiastically accept a placement, even if you have ranked the internship as your second or third choice.
You will be asked to upload your resume and a brief cover letter (about 250 words) explaining your relevant experience and why you are interested in the internship. These materials will be forwarded to the internship provider. Please note that some providers require an in-person meeting upon your arrival in Stockholm before confirming your placement.
Internship placements are limited and determined by each internship provider. You will be informed of your internship placement status in late June (fall term) or December (spring term).
Requests must be submitted by April 1 (fall term) or October 15 (spring term).
