Scarecrows will be displayed at Bill Breeze Park. Contestants will have from 5PM to 6:30PM, October 25th to display their Scarecrow at the designated Judging area. The contest is open to families, schools, businesses, organizations, and anyone else. There is NO FEE. The construction of the Scarecrow should be durable and prebuilt. Finishing touches can be applied on event day, on site. Participants in the contest are responsible for monitoring the state of their Scarecrow. All Scarecrows must be designed to stand/sit in an upright manner. Scarecrows must be in good taste and appropriate for viewing by the public and families. They must be absent of adult, political, and religious themes. No overly frightening, scary, violent, gruesome, or bloody entries will be accepted. Display location of the Scarecrows will be determined by the City of Ocoee. Participants who wish to keep them at home or in front of their organization agree to posting them online before October 14th. Voting on Scarecrows will be done by City of Ocoee staff and personnel for online and local business entries. Day of voting will be held for the general public. Prizes will be given out for winners October 25th. Photos of the event may be used on the City of Ocoee website and social media pages. Scarecrows must be reclaimed by Saturday, October 26th or they will be removed and discarded. I agree that I have read all the rules and regulations above and will follow them for my entry. I understand that failure to do so may result in my disqualification and/or the removal of my entry in the contest.
