  • The information requested in this form is needed to enrol the associated student applicant into a study programme at Pathways College of Bible & Mission. Pathways College observes the conditions governing the release of such information as set out in the Privacy Act 2020. 

  • Please read the instructions below carefully before you complete this form.

    • This Placement Form collects information about where students will complete their placement, what activities they will be involved in, and who their Internship Mentor will be.
    • This form should be completed by the student's proposed Internship Mentor, who should hold a leadership position within the church or parachurch organisation where the student is completing their placement. If the Internship Mentor is currently unknown, this form may be completed by a Key Leader within the placement organisation (e.g. pastor, elder, manager etc).
    • Please complete all questions, and if the question does not apply, enter or select N/A (unless instructed otherwise).
    • Once submitted, this Placement Form will become part of the prospective student's application.
    • Pathways College staff will contact you to review the student's intended placement.

    Note: Because students complete placements in a variety of settings, including churches, camps, and other parachurch organisations, this form will use "organisation" or "placement organisation" to encapsulate all the types of settings in which students may complete ministry placements.

  • Before continuing please confirm that you or another relevant leader in your organisation has discussed and considered the following topics with the student. Each topic needs to be addressed to the satisfaction of all parties (the student, Pathways College, and your organisation) for a placement to be approved.

    • Choice of elective
    • Finances
    • Transport
    • Computer access (including internet)
    • Accommodation
    • Lines of accountability
    • Ethical procedures
    • Office space and equipment
    • Health & safety requirements
    • Where the student can go for pastoral support outside of the supervision relationship, if needed
    • Relevant terms, conditions and expectations for all parties
    • Requirements for attendance and commitment to services, meetings, functions, etc.

  • Please note: Students serving in CCCNZ / Open-Brethren heritage churches and parachurch organisations are eligible to apply for the JH Baldwin Scholarship provided by the Lichfield Lands Incorporated Society.

  • Student's Proposed Ministry

    • Electives 
    • Students enrolled into the NZ Diploma of Christian Studies, Level 5 (Internship) are required to do a module called Negotiated Ministry Practice, more commonly referred to simply as an elective. All students are required to complete ONE of the following:

      • Biblical Worship taught by Rosie Devery
      • Christian Camping taught by Tom Dravitzki
      • Christian Communication ­taught by Richard Goodwin
      • Ministry With Children taught by Viki Johnson
      • Missions taught by Rebecca De Jong
      • Youth Ministry taught by Tom McIvor

    • I accept that it may be necessary for Pathways College staff to discuss details contained in this Placement Form with the student to determine their suitability to study at Pathways
    • This organisation endorses the student as suitable for ministry training in areas approved by the organisation and agrees to provide adequate opportunity for the student to fulfil the requirements of their course or qualification.
    • In support of the student, the organisation agrees to provide adequate supervision to the student to fulfil the requirements of their course.
    • I confirm that all the information I have provided on this form is true and accurate. I consent to allow Pathways College of Bible & Mission to receive, hold and use this information for the purpose of administering the student's enrolment into their course or qualification.
