Welcome to the application process for the Excellence in Indigenous Employment and Innovation award, sponsored by Reece. This award recognises those plumbing contracting businesses that stand out as leaders in the empowerment and advancement of Indigenous workers within their ranks.

In an era where inclusivity and diversity are essential to the growth and enrichment of the workplace, we celebrate the businesses that have not only opened doors but created environments where Indigenous talent can thrive.

This Award will go to the plumbing contracting business that demonstrates the highest standards of established policies, systems and on-the-job practices designed to attract and retain indigenous workers, then mentor and encourage them to achieve their full potential. Judges will want evidence of excellence in Indigenous employee recruitment, engagement and retention, including evidence that Indigenous people believe the business engages with them in a manner that assists them.

Let's honour those who are not just shaping the industry but also creating paths of opportunity, success, and growth for Indigenous talent.

Detail your methods for engaging and retaining Indigenous employees, including any unique benefits, training programs, or career development opportunities specific to Indigenous workers.

Community Engagement:*

Provide evidence of how your business engages with Indigenous communities in a manner that assists and supports them. Include any collaborations, partnerships, or initiatives.

Feedback from Indigenous Employees*

Share evidence that Indigenous people believe the business engages with them in a supportive and respectful manner. This may include testimonials, feedback, or other verifiable evidence.

We must receive your entry by close of business on Tuesday 31 December 2024.

By entering, you agree that the judges can do all the following:

Openly assess customers, employees and business processes that relate to the category you have entered.
Mystery shop your business to assess your entry.
Conduct compliance and audit checks on your business that relate to the category you have entered
